How does the dual study program at PROTAKT work?

PROTAKT offers internships for the dual study programs Business Information Management and Business Administration in cooperation with the Provadis School of International Management and Technology AG and the FOM Hochschule für Oekonomie & Management. In both cases, this is the "study + practice" model. You conclude a study contract with Provadis or the FOM University and a corresponding contract with PROTAKT for the practical placement required for the dual study program.

What is the time model for dual study programs?

You will work four days a week at our company in Bad Nauheim. Here you will learn the technical know-how and how to apply and expand your knowledge in practice. One afternoon during the week and on Saturday mornings you will attend classroom courses at Provadis University in Frankfurt/Höchst. At the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt, you will study two evenings a week and two Saturdays a month. At these times, the courses take place in a bundle and without idle times. Lectures take place 40 weeks a year, the lecture-free periods are based on the Hessian school vacations and comprise around 12 weeks per calendar year. Saturday mornings are always fixed, the weekly lecture dates for the Bachelor's degree courses are on a different weekday each year. You will be released from PROTAKT on the mornings of a weekly lecture. For you, this results in a weekly working time of 32 hours during the lecture periods and 40 hours during the lecture-free periods.

Why do I need German, English or math?

Business informatics is a degree course that combines elements of business administration and computer science, which requires a lot of mathematics. Business administration includes core subjects such as accounting and controlling. When communicating with our customers - whether directly in conversation or by e-mail - but also when creating written software documentation or customer concepts, a good knowledge of German is very helpful in order to be able to express yourself well. As specialist literature is often only available in English, you should have a good understanding of the English language.

What is the remuneration during the dual study program?

In addition to paying your tuition fees, you will receive an attractive monthly allowance from PROTAKT during your studies. With us, all dual students receive:

in the 1st year of study = 1,000.00 euros
in the 2nd year of study = 1,100.00 euros
in the 3rd year of study = 1,300.00 euros
in the 4th year of study = 1,500.00 euros

How much vacation do I have?

At PROTAKT, all team members receive 30 vacation days per calendar year.

What if I still want to do my Master's degree?

After completing your Bachelor's degree, you will already be very well trained and have a great deal of practical knowledge. You can then go on to complete your Master's degree at PROTAKT.

Will I be taken on by PROTAKT after my studies?

Years ago, PROTAKT decided to counteract the growing shortage of skilled workers in the IT industry by training young people ourselves. Primarily and preferably for our company. That's why we are naturally very interested in hiring you after you successfully complete your dual studies.
